It’s time for Gen Con, and this year we are packing it with Hope, Fear, and all things Darrington Press! Hold on to your dice as we dive into everything we’re doing at Gen Con this year with the launch of Daggerheart: Hope & Fear!
The two key locations to visit us will be booth #2639 and our decked-out Daggerheart room 134 (new!), where you can check out our games and purchase all kinds of delights.
You can preview all our ticketed events in Gen Con’s event system now and get ready to sign up for your favorites on May 17th!
Panels
Our wonderful Daggerheart dev team is on three panels this year!
- Daggerheart Next: Showcase & Live Demo of Hope & Fear Expansion (Thursday, noon): Our premiere event returns again, in which our devs unveil what’s next for Daggerheart and then launches into a live actual play!
- The Art of Daggerheart (Friday, 5pm): Spreadsheets, sketches, and drafts, oh my! Join the Darrington Team for a behind-the-scenes deep dive into the Art of Daggerheart!
- Collaborative Worldbuilding in TTRPGs (Saturday, 1pm): Daggerheart devs and other industry experts take you on a tour of best practices for bringing players more deeply into the worldbuilding process.
Visit Us at ICC Room 134!
In addition to our booth #2639, we now have a room right outside the exhibit hall in the Hoosier Concourse! Our room 134 will be overflowing with Daggerheart goodness. Stop in to say hi, attend signings and events, and buy our games and accessories like Daggerheart: Hope & Fear (ahead of its release date August 25th) and even con exclusives! We’ll be hosting signings, running workshops, and introducing our combination play & character creation event!
Our room hours are: 9am-9pm Thursday through Saturday; 9am-3pm Sunday. Stop by for purchases or demos of Daggerheart!
Here’s a run-down of our in-room events:
- Daggerheart Learn, Play, and Create: Taster Adventure & Make a Character!: Play a taster adventure, get a Daggerheart Class Pack to take home, and then make your own character in this guided event!
- Workshops led by our Daggerheart developers for an intimate group over the course of 2 hours, letting you deep dive into Daggerheart topics. All of these tickets also include a copy of Daggerheart: Hope & Fear and other goodies:
- Thursday, 4pm: Designing for Daggerheart
- Friday, 1pm: Player Workshop for Daggerheart
- Saturday, 9am: GM Workshop for Daggerheart
- And signings, to be announced!
Exhibit Hall: Play Games in Hall D & Purchase at Booth #2639!
We’ll also still have our booth #2639 stocked full with our new game A Familiar Find, the Daggerheart Core Set, pre-release copies of our expansion Daggerheart: Hope & Fear, dice, Solar Gardens, and con-exclusive pins!
Then walk right down to Hall D to play Daggerheart and check out and try our board and card games, including our brand-new card game, A Familiar Find, as well as Solar Gardens and Queen by Midnight: Quarter Past.

- Solar Gardens: Build a rooftop garden in harmony with nature with this light-hearted, tile-drafting board game!
- Queen by Midnight: Quarter Past: Dive into the battle-royale deck-building card game where you scheme and use guile, magic, and brawn to be crowned Queen by the stroke of midnight!
- Daggerheart: Introduction to Sablewood Forest: Learn to play with this 1 hour excerpt from The Sablewood Messengers. Your need to deliver a mysterious package to a village deep within the Sablewood forest—what wonders await you there?
Play Full Daggerheart Adventures
To keep the Daggerheart: Hope & Fear celebration going, we’re running a ton of Daggerheart adventures all over the convention, including a brand-new one, The Marauders of Windfall, which incorporates some new character options from Hope & Fear!
Our 4-hour games are held in the Marriott Lincoln Room and the Santa Fe Room and include:
- Learn to Play Adventure: The Sablewood Messengers, with level 1 characters
- The Dying Spire, with level 2 characters
- The Marauders of Windfall, with level 3 characters and new options from Hope & Fear
