Playtest Daggerheart Starting March 12th!

Come join our adventuring party!

We cordially invite YOU to come playtest Daggerheart, our forthcoming fantasy tabletop RPG, beginning March 12th! Help us shape this game by playing it, breaking it, and bringing us that valuable feedback via official surveys throughout the Daggerheart Open Beta Playtest. This playtest will shape our development of the final game, set to release in 2025!

We’ve learned a lot from the closed beta and are endlessly grateful to all who have helped us develop this game so far. We’re thrilled that soon we’ll be able to open the doors to many more folks to jump into playtesting with us!

Daggerheart.com: Your Home for the Open Beta Playtest

The home of the Daggerheart Open Beta Playtest will be the newly-minted daggerheart.com website, where you’ll find information about the game, periodically-updated playtest materials, and the surveys where you can tell us all about your experiences.

We’re excited to offer a few different ways to participate in this playtest:

  • Download (and print, if you like) PDF materials from the Daggerheart website
  • Visit one of our two digital platform partners for their versions of the materials: Demiplane (character creator and Nexus) and DriveThruRPG (playtest material PDFs)

Explainer Videos & a Critical Role Livestream

Throughout the day on March 12, the Critical Role YouTube channel will roll out helpful videos to accompany the playtest packets. In the evening, the cast of Critical Role will be livestreaming their own playtest of the game, so be sure to watch along starting at 7pm Pacific on Twitch and YouTube!

Want to livestream your own playtest sessions? We welcome you to review, stream, and share the open beta content so long as you adhere to the Darrington Press Community Gaming License. It has received an update with the Daggerheart-specific stipulations for the playtest material, such as asking you to link back to daggerheart.com.

We can’t wait to undertake this new adventure with you. Stay tuned for the open playtest launch on March 12th!
