Daggerheart: Hope & Fear Unveiled!
Big news for Daggerheart: Hope & Fear—it will hit shelves on August 25th, 2026, in Critical Role shops (US, UK, CA, AU, and EU), Darrington Press Guild stores, other friendly local gaming stores, as well as digital versions on Demiplane and DriveThruRPG. It will be available everywhere else books and games are sold starting September 22!

The devs showcase all the beautiful art and components of each edition. In addition to the variant artwork, the deluxe edition adds a box set, a GM screen, fear tokens, gold foil-edged cards, and lots of exclusive dice: a full sharp edge resin set of polyhedral dice (with a chunky d20 and a set of rhombic duality dice in the colors matching the cover) as well as 10 rhombic d12s to share with everyone at your table.
Remember that although the standard edition will be available widely, the deluxe edition is available only through Critical Role shops and Darrington Press Guild stores – be sure to secure your copy!
All our thanks to artists Mat Wilma and Dominik Mayer, who are reprising their roles as cover artists from the Daggerheart Core Set, for the standard and deluxe editions respectively. Keen-eyed gamers can catch some of the same characters from the two covers rendered in each of these unique styles!

Pre-order both standard and deluxe editions now at Daggerheart.com/pre-order, and your copies are expected to ship in early August and you’ll receive some special goodies! As a bonus for pre-orders on the Critical Role shops, the digital rulebook PDF will be delivered two weeks before full release, and you’ll get a 20% off discount to pre-order the Demiplane Nexus edition of the game.
