Move over, dragons—an adventurer’s biggest challenge is here: their wedding day. Time to call the Guardians of Matrimonia!

 

Guardians of Matrimonia is a cooperative boardgame of an elite team of fantasy wedding planners tackling the emergencies that threaten the big day of the adventurer spouses-to-be!

Designed by Banana Chan and Yeonsoo Julian Kim, the game is filled with charming art and fantastical takes on wedding mishaps, magic, and mayhem.

The game is easy to learn, with options for increasing difficulties and variants (including a competitive mode) for replayability.

Fun fact: the original concept for the game was designed by Critical Role’s Matthew Mercer and Marisha Ray for their wedding!

Guardians of Matrimonia is coming in early 2024 at Critical Role shops (US, UK, CA, AU, and EU), Darrington Press Guild stores, and other friendly local game stores.

OVERVIEW

In this family-friendly cooperative board game, you are an elite event planning team ensuring a fantasy wedding goes as smoothly as possible. Players each have their own unique abilities to tame the magical emergencies that threaten the big day. The more successful the celebration, the better your rating at the end of the festivities. But watch out! If left unchecked, emergencies can spiral out of control and ruin your review!

  • Each Guardian player wields unique abilities to tame the magical emergencies: be a Bardfluencer, Necromanager, Holistic Cleric, or Ale-Chemist
  • Make the day perfect for your client spouses—Goblins, Dwarves, and Eldritch Hiveminds alike.
  • Don’t let Emergencies throw off the party vibe! Put out fires, keep the guests partying, and make the spouses happy.
  • The more successful the celebration, the better your rating at the end of the festivities. But watch out! If left unchecked, emergencies can spiral out of control and ruin your review!
  • Includes a competitive mode (collect tips!), multiple difficulties, and rules variants to keep gameplay fresh.
